Welcome - New Players

Easton Elite Heat Softball welcomes 2 new players onto the team for the upcoming 2011-2012 season...Allison Smith & Kendyl Chase.
Both are great additions to the team and we are so glad to have them join our Easton family.
At the same time...we would like to wish both Hailey Taves & Lori Smith much success in the future with their softball careers...as they move up to 12U. It was a pleasure to have both girls with us all year long.
Our first practice will be Tuesday August 23 at 6:30 at Elite Field. Please be there at 6:15 to get loose so we can start at 6:30 sharp. We have high goals for this team but the number one goal is development of these girls.

Easton Elite Heat Softball congratulates the Heat Girls on their successful showing at ASA Nationals in Johnson City, TN.
The Heat Girls were the youngest team and the only '01 team that qualified for Nationals. They went 3-3 against the very best competition in the nation.

Columbus Qualifier Tournament Info

Easton Elite Heat Girls will be playing in the Grand Slam Queen of the Hill tournament in Columbus, GA. this Saturday, 6/11. This is a one day tournament and one berth will be awarded to ASA Nationals.
The tournament location will be the following location:
South Commons Olympic Softball Complex:
400 4th Street
Columbus, GA. 31901
Our opening game is at 9:00am on Field 7, which I believe is the stadium.
**We play the GA. Force. Please arrive at the field by 7;30 to 7:40am, as we need to find our way around, register and warm up the girls.
**We will begin in all white....White pants / White sleeveless jersey / Red socks.
**Coaches in White crew to begin.
Very Important...Since we will be playing in the Stadium, they frown on bringing large rolling coolers, since concessions will be available. They did indicate that we could bring smaller personal coolers into the stands. They do allow a large rolling cooler for the team in the dugout, so we will have to plan for that. I would suggest bringing your large coolers as normal, but leave them in the car. Bring a smaller cooler into the stands that can be refilled.
We will be playing back to back most of the day and it will be hot. Please plan accordingly. Coach Jon will be bringing the RV.

We will be holding an optional practice for the Heat girls on Wednesday, 12/29 at Elite Sports Training Academy from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
Pitching instruction will be provided from 4:00 to 5:00pm
Please bring all your gear and let's go with gray practice jerseys if you are able to attend.
This practice is strictly optional...just to keep the girls sharp during the holidays.

We will be holding our team Christmas party on Saturday, 12/11 at Elite's new indoor facility. We will be practicing as a team prior to the party as well.

Last year...we went with Webkinz and the girl's have pretty much outgrown those. Let's go with $10 gift cards for the girls in a small gift bag and they can pick out the bags similar to last year.

The Heat girls finish up the 2010 Fall season by taking home the Championship in the USSSA Fall Brawl. The Heat Girls went 4-0 on the day, with Peyton Fointno also winning the Home Run Derby.

The Heat girls win the GSA "Spook Off" tournament on Saturday...going undefeated 5-0. The girls played great all day long...finishing up around 11:00pm at night, scoring 2 runs in the last inning to win an exciting Championship game vs the Gwinnett Kaos 4-3.

We have the Camsports "Two in the Bucket" tournament this Saturday, 10/16 at Earl O'Neal in Conyers. Looks like some excellent competition for our girls based on the current teams entered.
This will be a one pool / double elimination tournament. There are currently 12 teams entered. Our opening pool game will be at 9:00am.

If needed, please wear black under your jersey if it's cool in morning. Looking at a nice sunny day in the 70's...but it will cool in the am.

We have the Children's Healthcare Classic tournament this weekend, which is a scheduled 2 day tournament (10/9-10/10).
Our opening pool games have been posted, along with the double elimination brackets. The pool games will determine our seeding among the 10 teams participating.
